Violence was set upon the world tonight
It was a terrible, horrible, frightful sight,
The air was rent by shreiking bombs
That set houses with children inside alight.

His name was enscribed in the red fires blaze
And when the screaming bombs were out of phase,
There was nothing left in the city of craters
Nothing left to bomb, burn, or raze.

His name was written in the blood of those killed
So while the homeless looked for food to keep their stomachs filled,
They saw his visage in every image of gore and death
In the last ruins of the city where their blood was spilled.

His name was seen in the smoke that rose
That spiraled upward for eternity 'cause the time was slowed,
Who knows when he will be back again?
He is everywhere at once, and nowhere at all, I suppose.

Our friend, our companion, who looks out for number one
Who taught the smithy to make the sword, and the articifer the gun,
Our friend who we had so much sympathy for
Because he was cast down for a thought he had once.

Our most common companion who only thinks of survival
The utilitarian beast who competes with his one divine rival.
How can he be so bad? He only says we should think ourselves first
How can we not welcome him on his imminent arrival?

Beware the tradgedy of man, no more, no more.
What does He have in store for the souls who think themselves valued more?
Nothing, He plans for us nothing you fools.
We get what we ask for.
A place that is lower so we can be higher.
A place that is darker so our souls will seem lighter.
A place that is smaller so we will be bigger.
A place that is vile, so we can feel at home.
